本片以元朝历史为背景，讲述少林寺一学徒张三丰。得到少林武功秘籍，刻苦练功，终于成材，把朝廷恶官打败。 该片情节动人，扣人心弦，且有不少少林拳术的介绍。This film depicts the early exploits of the founder of Tai Chi, Chang Zhang Fong, The story starts with Chang staying at the Shaolin temple and stumbling upon the secret manuscripts that lead to his expertise in the Crane and Snake styles of kung fu. When the local baron passes through a town and is nearly assassinated, he employs a disgraced monk with an axe to grind to root out the offenders.
